Tex Mex Tacos

Components

  • Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp Gewürzhaus Tex Mex Taco Spice

  • 500g lean beef mince

  • ¾ cup of water or beef stock

  • Hard or soft shell tacos

  • Tomatoes, lettuce etc. of your choice, diced (to serve)

Directions

  • In a heavy based pan, heat the oil. Add the mince and cook for 5 min., stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps. Add Tex Mex Taco Spice, water or beef stock and simmer for 20 min., or until the sauce thickens.

  • In the meantime, prepare guacamole, diced tomato, lettuce and cheese to serve in taco shells.

  • Once the sauce has thickened, assemble tacos with diced tomatoes, lettuce, mince meat sauce, guacamole and cheese on top.

  • If you like, you can incorporate some lime juice and coriander for a little extra zing
