Tex Mex Tacos
Gewürzhaus Recipe. Serves 4
Components
Guacamole
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
500g lean beef mince
¾ cup of water or beef stock
Hard or soft shell tacos
Tomatoes, lettuce etc. of your choice, diced (to serve)
Directions
In a heavy based pan, heat the oil. Add the mince and cook for 5 min., stirring with a wooden spoon to break up any lumps. Add Tex Mex Taco Spice, water or beef stock and simmer for 20 min., or until the sauce thickens.
In the meantime, prepare guacamole, diced tomato, lettuce and cheese to serve in taco shells.
Once the sauce has thickened, assemble tacos with diced tomatoes, lettuce, mince meat sauce, guacamole and cheese on top.
Guacamole
Ingredients
1 ripe avocado
A squeeze of lime and some freshly chopped coriander (Optional)
Steps
Mash the avocado with 2 tsp of spice and set aside for a couple of minutes, while the flavours develop.
If you like, you can incorporate some lime juice and coriander for a little extra zing
